The Grand Finale 2014

By Kelly Leary

“Love one another.” --George Harrison, The Beatles

Happy (almost) New Year 2015! Last year came and went in a blink, didn't it? The years seem to go faster the older we get, which is an excellent reason to make the most of every hour, every day, every encounter. We have been given the gift of togetherness and every day we can choose to join hands or we can choose to isolate. Doesn't that seem like a pretty simple choice? As we end this year and begin to think about the changes we want to make next year, make a commitment to dedicate yourself to love. In fact, I am going to claim 2015 as "The Year of The Love Movement."

Where are we without good solid relationships in our families, schools, neighborhoods, and in our social lives? Fact: People that don't know how to form healthy relationships with others will almost always have a hard time in the work place or on the home front, not to mention the ROMANCE.

“Love is as critical for your mind and body as oxygen. It’s not negotiable. The more connected you are, the healthier you will be both physically and emotionally. The less connected you are, the more you are at risk.” (Psychology Today). There are so many benefits to choosing love and togetherness. Here are a few below to help you kick off your own revolution...

1.) Relationships are good for your health. Countless studies show that married people live longer than unmarried people. I have met many people who are coming out of a difficult break up or, sadly, death of a spouse, and low and behold as soon as they begin meeting new friends they become “whole” again. Loneliness, on the other hand, is a contributing risk factor for Alzheimer’s, suicide, and many other terrible ailments. Love is hope, and hope is a cure.

2.) Romantic relationships are good for weight loss. One of the “perks” in my job is that many members may join and say: “I want to lose a few pounds and get in better shape.” Well, what a better motivator then having a date Saturday night? I have seen weight fall off ladies and men within weeks of joining. Why? Mainly because of the renewed faith and connectedness to others.

3.) Good relationships ward of depression. The less bonding you have, the more depressed you are likely to feel. This is one reason why I decided to work in this business instead of pursuing my doctorate in psychology. I realized at a young age that love is a great antidepressant. Love more and you will feel better. The world will open up to you and embrace you.

4.) Relationships are good for the economy. Think about it. If you are feeling love at home, if you have a hot date to look forward to on the weekend, don’t you think you will perform better on the job? YES, you will! You will walk taller, smile bigger, and show more love to others in your office and around you. You will be like a magnet for good energy. Whatever your goals may be, they will come easier.

Words to Live By: Good relationships will foster more light in your life. As you become more connected, you will feel more attractive, energetic, optimistic, confident, inventive, sentimental, receptive, and motivated.

Remember, there is no “I” in TEAM, and no “I” in LOVE. Your life and love is in your hands...so let's make it an amazing year "together". As you are probably aware, Revolution Dating is celebrating the final days of 2014 tomorrow evening. If you missed the R.S.V.P. List, give us a call anyways...maybe there is still a spot or two available? Also, for new enrollments, I urge you to come in for your meeting by Wednesday, as there will be some increases in Club Dues for 2015. We are in high demand and that’s a good thing!!! The more the merrier! No time like the present to start, right?

Thank you for sharing your Sunday with me once again...I hope your Holiday Season has been wonderful...and if it hasn't...I can help you liven up the next holiday ! My office will be buzzing like Black Friday as soon as the New Year kicks off, so play it safe, and come meet us on or before Wednesday!

XOXO,
Kelly
